Below are a few brief words that explain what we are all about.

Founded: Opening weekend, 1989.

Origins of our name: In the years leading up to our founding, Ron experimented with reloading shotgun shells.  What they were lacking in quality, they made up for with gunpowder.  When fired, the shooter was met with shoulder-bruising recoil, or a "click".  The click was a misfire and was invariably followed by "Ron you son of a bitch!!!!"

Drink of Choice: Beer!!!!  But none of that pussy-ass light shit. Except for Tim; he loves that shit.

Our Prey: The Ringneck Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus)

Active Full Members: Ron Loomis, Allen Stangl, Connie Stangl, Rick Pelecheck, Mark Mueller, Erik Mueller, Tim Mueller, Tony Mueller, Callie Mueller.

Vested Member: Randy Kennobie.  An honorary membership for meritorious service to the club

Where we're from:  Our members are spread across 3 states, MN, IA, and WI.

How to spot the BSHC:  Right now you are probably asking yourself "How do I know if the formidable looking group of hunters I just saw is the BSHC?"  If their commanding presence and their unyeilding look of those bent on avian eradication didn't already give them away, you will also notice that their vests are festooned with a circular balze orange patch that reads in blue font "Blue Shoulder Hunt Club, Fleeing Pheasant Iowa."
